Malcolm Young had a stroke – sucks balls

Full story

AC/DC rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young is ill and is “taking a break,” the band posted on its website Wednesday.

But the hugely popular group will continue, AC/DC said in the statement.

“After forty years of life dedicated to AC/DC, guitarist and founding member Malcolm Young is taking a break from the band due to ill health. Malcolm would like to thank the group’s diehard legions of fans worldwide for their never-ending love and support,” the statement said.

“In light of this news, AC/DC asks that Malcolm and his family’s privacy be respected during this time. The band will continue to make music.”

Young, 61, formed the group in 1973 in Sydney, Australia, with his brother Angus. The statement did not reveal what his illness was, though rumors have swirled since an e-mail was sent to a Perth, Australia, radio station earlier this week.

Mark Gable, a fellow musician, told Australia’s ABC Radio that Malcolm Young “is sick. … It’s not just that he is unwell, it’s that it is quite serious.” Gable’s remarks were reported in the Sydney Morning Herald.

The hard-rocking group, whose albums include the multimillion-selling “Back in Black” and “For Those About to Rock (We Salute You),” quickly rose in the music world thanks to their terse riffs and tireless touring. Lead guitarist Angus Young, then and now, is known for wearing a schoolboy uniform on stage.

Bon Scott, who sang lead for the band in the ’70s, died in 1980 just as “Highway to Hell” became AC/DC’s breakthrough album. He was replaced by Brian Johnson, who sang on AC/DC’s biggest chart hits, including “You Shook Me All Night Long” and “Thunderstruck.”

The group has continued putting out million-sellers to the present day. AC/DC’s most recent studio album, “Black Ice” (2008), debuted at No. 1 in 29 countries — including the United States — sold 6 million copies and produced the Grammy-winning track “War Machine.” It was the second biggest-selling album of the year.

Malcolm Young’s guitar has been a major part of the AC/DC sound — a sound often slammed by rock critics but beloved by fans of hard rock and heavy metal. Other guitarists, including Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine, rank him highly.

Young has said he’s proud of the band’s straightforward, powerhouse crunch.

“People can go out and hear R.E.M. if they want deep lyrics, but at the end of the night, they want to go home and get f*****! That’s where AC/DC comes into it,” he once said.

Confirming Matt Taibbi: The Conspiracy Theorists Were Right

Video Rebel's Blog

A few weeks ago Matt Taibbi said in a 14 page article in Rolling Stone said that the Conspiracy Theorists were right and that every market was rigged by the bankers. And that included interest rates, commodities, Credit Default Swaps and the gold and silver markets. This has been confirmed by the courts and the securities markets. BP and Shell are being investigated in Europe for rigging oil prices. If the CEO of a small company were arrested, the stock price would go down. But BP and Shell stock prices remain unchanged. JP Morgan, HSBC, Wells Fargo-Wachovia and Goldman Sachs have all had legal difficulties but walked away from the courts with no jail time and fines that were a miniscule fraction of the money involved.

This confirms that the courts, the regulatory system, the politicians and the media are fixed and it is not just the 2.2 trillion dollar…

Masons are out to Destroy us!

When not following two pickers or a Pawn Shop around, the History Channel has taught me one thing. The Masons control America and their shadow group, “The Illuminati” is out to destroy mankind. The Masons are the Royal Family of England and every President besides a select few have been Masons.

Go to YouTube and there’s as many videos “educating” us on this as they are of hot girls in thongs. Masons seek to murder 90% of the world’s population. They control all the wealth. They have created false flags such as 9/11, Sandy Hook and the Boston Marathon Bombings. Don’t believe me? Visit YouTube and search Masons. You could spend weeks watching all the videos on there about them.

Listen, nobody is more anti-government than I am. I don’t trust politicians. I’m a “Democrat” and I dislike them as much as I do Republicans. I consider myself neither “left-wing” nor “right-wing.” I am neither a conservative nor a liberal. I’m simply someone that uses common sense, my own train of thought and judgment to make decisions.

I think Masons are nothing more than a dying breed. Social groups in America are in a major decline. My dad had uncles that were Masons. These men weren’t wealthy nor did they know the secrets of “the government.” If they did, I am pissed they didn’t leave me millions! Where do I sign up at?

Major Decline – Most data online reports that only around 2 million Americans are Masons. World Wide numbers claim over 5 million. There were more Masons in America during the 1800’s than there are now. Difference? There are over 350 million people in America and only around 50 million in the 1800’s. Less and less people are in “social organizations” today.

Who are currently Masons – Conspiracy believers claim “rich, elite and powerful men” are Masons. Sure, back in the old days that was true. Even rich and powerful men were once members of the KKK. Most Masons I see today are old white guys that have been Masons for 50-60 years. Very few of these men are rich.

(Here’s the average group of Masons today. These people control us all when not watching “The Price is Right”.)

Masons want to destroy mankind – If that’s true, why don’t they just do it? If these people have been so powerful since day one, why haven’t they murdered us yet? If Masons only wanted a small population to enslave, why did they let the world grow to 7 billion people? Wouldn’t it have been easier to kill us when we were a smaller population?

I think my point is simple. The Masons were a once popular group that important Americans use to belong to. Now they are just a bunch of old guys hanging out on a Friday night playing bingo. I’m sorry, I see no evidence they are out to destroy mankind.

Review – Wal-Mart Auto Center Bashford Manor

Everyone knows I hate Michel Tires of St. Matthews. They are nothing more than con-artists. Valvoline are overpriced chains with below average techs working there. Most other chains are no better. I did a little research and found out that the Wal-Mart at Bashford Manor does oil changes.

Before taking my car there, I read some online reviews. Overall, the reviews were pretty good. One site gave Wal-Mart Auto Center 4.8 stars out of 5.0. No matter how good the service, some jackass will complain. Another website gave them 88% out of a 100%. Most of the negative comments there were from typical snobs who expected a hand job along with the oil change.

They offer four “types” of oil changes at Wal-Mart. The $18.99 Basic, the $29.99 Standard (which is what I got), and two others ( I don’t recall the prices and what was included). The Standard includes inspections on all brakes, lights, carpet cleaned, filters changed and tire pressure checked. Not bad for $29.99.

After being completed, they give you a print out of what was done and what they found wrong. The only thing they found negative was the fact I was a quart low on oil. Michel Tires of St. Matthews would have told me my engine needed replace and would have wanted to replace all four tires. Unlike most places, they didn’t waste my time with lies or trying to pressure me into getting more work done.

It took less than 20 minutes for the oil change. The staff was friendly, overall. No added pressure. My carpets look nice now. And my car seems fine. I wish I would have known about this place sooner. As much as I hate Wal-Mart, their Auto Center made me a fan. Decent prices, good employees and no rip-offs.

Krazy Dave’s of Louisville

Krazy Dave’s is one of those neat little “hole in a wall” bars you find hidden in a middle of a neighborhood. Inside the bar doesn’t look like much. Pretty small. Nothing really sticks out. The bar makes up for it in other ways, though.

They keep it simple at Krazy Dave’s. No chef made food. Just good old fashion bar junk food. If you are on diet, don’t eat here. The bar has a few TV’s, outdoor seating, a pool table, dart boards and of course, karaoke. I’m not saying the karaoke is good. But they have it.

Food 8.5 out of 10 – The food is typical bar food. Chicken wings, burgers and pizza. The chicken wings and chicken fingers are decent, but nothing amazing, as are the fries. The Burgers (Krazy Dave’s Burger) are pretty good. I was amazed at how good the pizza is here. I’ve never heard people mention Krazy Dave’s as a good pizza parlor in Louisville. Their veggie pizza is excellent. What really caught me off guard is how awesome their Philly Cheese Steak is. I would rate it in my top 3 favorites found in Louisville.

Beer Selection – 6 out of 10 – This is the only area I knock Krazy Dave’s for. They have four beers on tap and only a handful of bottles, mostly common beers such as Bud Light, Miller Light and Coors. You will not find a large selection of Microbrews or imports here. On the bright side, very cheap prices when compared to other bars.

Wine/Spirits 8 out of 10 – I think they have wine…… While a small spirits selection, they have a lot of good stuff. They keep around 8-10 decent Kentucky Bourbons, George Dickel and other common and popular brands stocked. I was happy to see Makers 46 and George Dickel Rye on the shelf. Two decent Whiskeys and priced cheap when compared to other bars.

Service 10 out of 10 – This bar is one of the friendliest bars I’ve been to in quite some time. All the bartenders are cool people. My two favorites are Hoyt and Debbie. I’ve never had bad service from anyone here. You make friends here very quickly.

If you are in the Goldsmith Lane area and only have $10 to spend, check out Krazy Dave’s. A pitcher of Miller Lite is only $7. I live in the area and I try to stop by at least bi-weekly. Cool place, good food and cheap prices on most booze!

Overall score – 32.5 out of 40, 81.3% (misleading score due to the beer selection)
